Philippe Studio Pro was formed by Philippe & Christine in 2014 to provide couples beautiful quality images that captures the memory of their wedding day. Since then, they have developed the business into one of the premier wedding photography and film studios in the Sacramento area, having shot more than 100 weddings.

Philippe is originally from Rwanda, a small country in Africa. When Philippe was nine years old there was a terrible genocide in his country and he lost his parents, brother and other members of his family. During that time, he was forced to flee his home and all of his family’s property was burned, including irreplaceable photos of his lost family members. This experience taught him how important maintaining the memory of loved ones is, and has inspired him to want to help others capture special moments through photography and video. His philosophy towards life and imagery is to always give it his all, because he knows how precious those special moments in life are.

In 2012 Philippe moved to the United States with his wife, Christine, who also helps him with the administration of the business. Together they are raising their two kids in Elk Grove, California as they both work towards providing couples with superior wedding imagery and service delivery. They enjoy traveling with their kids, participating in cultural events, socializing with family and friends and trying new things outdoors.

Philippe has a strong vision for documentation and storytelling resulting from years as an actor and theater director in Rwanda. He has also served as the Senior Photographer for KJ2 Productions and Lead Studio Photographer at ForAnyAutoGroup (Elk Grove Nissan, Mazda and Infiniti dealerships). Philippe has also shot weddings and events for Sacramento Magazine, American Wedding Group and George Street Photo and Video. Philippe is also an active member of the Sacramento chapter of the Association for Wedding Professionals International and the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce. He has a Certificate of Achievement in Photography from Sacramento City College and is a licensed drone pilot. In addition to English, he speaks French, Kinyarwanda and Swahili.
